For You

written by Rob Bamboo Lowell
While walking along it today
I became the mountain stream.
I felt the embracing shoulders of the fern-laden banks.
I felt the ticklishness of moss covered rocks.
I love the varied babbling sounds I could make falling over smoothed stones like an innocent ancient infant.
What a true voice.
I felt my body bend down
To take a taste of myself through this wonderful experiential vehicle called human.
Oh, just a little detour until I come out the other end...
I squatted and saw the mossy trees.
And then I felt the gratitude of being a tree that has learned how to walk and experience its family in other forests.
Can you imagine the biggest grin on a human face you've ever seen?
I felt it on my face and my heart was a million times bigger.
Do you recall the "grinch" from Dr. Seuss's tale of how he stole Christmas?
And how, at one point his heart began to grow and grow and grow until it burst out its container?
And his grin followed.
May it continue...
I can take it....
because its all for You.
